Connue pour avoir longtemps incarné la femme commissaire Julie Lescaut, Véronique Genest a reçu le titre de meilleure actrice pour le rôle, ce qui lui valut un 7 d’or. L’actrice a été au sommet de sa carrière dans les années 80 et 90. Ella a par la suite obtenu le rôle principal dans le film « La Bonne Dame de Nancy ». Véronique Genest avait une silhouette assez ronde dans ses débuts, mais elle s’est ensuite amincie en suivant un régime strict. En l’espace de dix-huit semaines, elle a réussi à perdre 36 kilos. Pour y arriver, elle a eu recours à l’acupuncture.
