Like with Sygic, MAPS must reside on your device so you can navigate without connection of any kind to the net.

I’m kind of apprehensive with the idea of them collecting data from my phone. Even if they say they won’t know where my destination is, it’s still kind of breaching my privacy ??

Google maps helped me so much and it is so convenient to everyone. Hopefully Apple will do a better job since their phones and laptops are great.. even their operating system

Google is not the only other big company that owns a map stack from the “ground up”.
