Never in a million years could William know why they pulled him over

While driving down the street one morning, William Jazwinski spotted a police patrol car with its red and blue lights flashing behind him. William pulled over, and after greeting the officer, he asked him if he had been dashing. The officer replied that he hadn’t and added, “Just wanted to stop ya and say thank you for your service.” It’s safe to assume that this ‘stop’ passed without a speeding ticket, sobriety test, or DUI.

The heart-warming conversation between the officer and William will shatter you to pieces

After clearing out the air with his credentials, William was dying with curiosity as to why the officer pulled him over but the officer did not budge and assured William that he just wanted to share his thoughts about men who serve the country whole-heartedly.

William told the officer about the time he served in Iraq and his duty as a serviceman

William and the officer had a heart to heart about the struggles and dedication of all men including women who have to leave their families behind in order to protect their country without any regrets or thinking about it twice.

William shared with the officer about his own personal troubles

William then opened up about his own struggles post-Iraq service as an army officer and how he had joined a PTSD program to assist him to come to terms with what he saw in Iraq. The officer was all ears and had a look of concern, respect, and tenderness towards William.

Suddenly the officer facial expressions changed

William’s incredible resemblance to the police officer’s dead son

It became clear to William that it was the bumper sticker on the back of his car that identified him as a soldier. The two started chatting about William’s former military service as a Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Operator when William mentioned that he was in Iraq for 15 months. Suddenly, the police officer opened up and admitted that his son had also served in Iraq but sadly, his son never returned.

William brings solace to the devastated cop by offering his condolences & a comforting hug

After seeing the flag on William’s dashboard, which looks the same as the one he got from the military upon his son’s passing, the cop made a strange request. “Do you mind stepping out and receiving a hug?” he asked. The cop admitted that he pulled William over for resembling his late son. The former Army soldier, who had just completed a PTSD program, got out of his car and gave the cop a much-needed hug.
