White House sources tipped off DailyMail reporters that Melania, ‘upset and humiliated’ by the news, has been staying at a hotel in Washington DC instead of the White House. The First Lady’s spokesperson, Stephanie Graham later responded to DailyMail’s allegations by calling the news ‘false’.
Sources also claimed that Melania had stayed at the same D.C. hotel several times during January, sometimes for several days on end
The White House’s West Wing is mostly abandoned since Mrs. Trump is either in New York or staying at other hotels in Washington.
The White House staff has been speculating that the news of Trump’s affair with Daniels seems to have hit Melania hard and she is now avoiding her duties unless she absolutely needs to be in the White House for a very specific reason. Even her relationship with Donald Trump is limited to public appearances and once the cameras are off, the first lady takes the robotic smile off her face and the two go their separate ways.

Rumors of trouble in paradise first began to emerge when Melania cancelled her Davos trip to attend the summit with Donald Trump due to ‘logistical issues’ and two ended up making solo appearances, Trump in Switzerland and Melania in D.C., where she visited the Holocaust Museum on Thursday. After her trip to the museum, the First Lady boarded a private jet which flew her to Mar-a-Lago in Florida where Trump owns a private compound.
The resurfacing of Trump’s old fling with the adult film star – whose real name is Stephanie Clifford – in 2006, have shaken up the White House and Donald Trump’s third marriage. In October 2016, Donald Trump’s then-attorney Michael Cohen had struck an expensive deal with Clifford to prevent her from speaking up about the affair, which could have destroyed Trump’s political career and his hopes of ever becoming a president.
The NDA agreement was not enough to keep the seedy details of the affair from the public as a string of personal emails retrieved from the film star’s personal account revealed exactly what had happened between the two, 12 years ago.

According to the emails sent by Clifford, who had been planning to run for Louisiana’s senate in 2009, she told political consultant Andrea Dube that she had met Trump during a golf tournament in 2006 and instant sparks had flown between the two.
When asked for a comment on the reports, the White House responded that fake news of Trump’s affair with Daniels AKA Clifford had already been in circulation before the President took office and the two parties have consistently been denying them since 2011.
In an interview with InTouch magazine in 2011, Daniels gave a detailed account of the events that led to her affair with the President. Soon after the interview, Trump’s personal lawyer approached the adult film star with ‘hush money’ to keep her quiet – but it was already too late by then.
The 2011 interview was only published last week and it spread like wildfire in the mainstream media. According to Daniels, Trump had compared her to his daughter Ivanka Trump saying that the two women were quite similar in terms of beauty and intellect.
