The Role Of Billy Was Actually Meant For Actor Stephen Fanning
It was actually revealed in The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story that an actor named Stephen Fanning was supposed to play the role of Billy. However, he didn’t end up snagging the part simply because of too much weight gain. In a 2012 reunion special, Shue revealed the real reason why Stephen didn’t make it to the show. According to him, Stephen didn’t have any chemistry with Allison. The sad part was that Stephen wasn’t informed that he had been fired! He even showed up to work while Andrew Shue was already in the dressing room. We’re still uncertain if they ever reached a settlement on the issue.
