Today, Will Smith is a respected actor and one of the biggest names in the film industry, but that wasn’t the case at the beginning of his career. What many fans probably didn’t know is that the only reason Smith took on the job to play The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was that he was in a serious debt with the IRS. To pay off those debts, Smith accepted the role and the IRS took 70% of his paychecks from the show.
