Aristotle Onassis Leaves Skorpios Island To His Children, $142 Million
The Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis was one of the world’s richest people and what do rich people do? They buy islands! He was actually one of the very first millionaires who bought an island for himself. He bought Scorpios Island back in 1963 before it was cool. Aristotle died in 1975, leaving the island to his kids as part of his last will and testament. The island was reportedly sold in 2013 to the daughter of a Russian billionaire. The estimated price for the Scorpios Island was $142 million.
