Czech billionaire Jiri Smejc purchased Velaa as a gift for his wife. He has spent more than $260 million over the past five years transforming it into the world’s most luxurious holidaying site for celebrities to go feast, play, and get tanned. It offers 43 villas, with restaurants, a tennis court, and a private spa. There is even a golf course. If you wish total privacy, the cost to rent the whole place for four nights is $1.3 million. Special flight packages must be available for that price tag!
