Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Buys 6 Greek Islands For $11 Million
The former Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani did not settle for one island because that’s what regular rich people do. He actually bought six Greek islands for about $11 million! The islands he purchased are part of a small archipelago called the Echinades. The islands are allegedly located just a couple of miles from a famous location in Homer’s Odyssey. He bought the islands in 2013 but he had been eyeing them since 2009 when he passed by them with his yacht.
