The Barclay Brothers Private Island of Brecqhou, $4.3 Million
They are billionaires and owners of the Ritz Hotel and the Daily Telegraph. The twin brothers David and Frederick Barclay look alike but they share more than just similar facial features. The brothers also own an island together, a Channel island of Brecqhou. The Barclays bought the island in 1993 and apparently, it came with a “tax-free status”, according to sources (is your vacation home tax-free?). The estimated price they paid for this lovely island was $4.3 million, not much for the billionaire brothers. Every billionaire needs a getaway like this if they want to protect their privacy.
