Richard Branson Bought The Necker Island For Only $180K But It’s Now Worth Much More
When Richard Branson discovered that the Necker Island was for sale, he hurried to purchase it. Why wouldn’t he when’s got billions in his bank account? The successful entrepreneur managed to get his hands on this island for a small price. He reportedly paid only $180K for the purchase, which was more than a 96% discount. However, it came with a few conditions. Allegedly, the government required that a foreigner who buys the island must build a resort there. The previous owner of the island was Lord Cobham and the island’s initial price was $5 million. It is estimated that the island is now worth about $60 million. A clever purchase, Branson, we can’t wait to take a cruise over there!
