Kamala Harris has broken the barrier by becoming the first Asian-American Vice-president. Likewise, her husband, Douglas Emhoff, made history as the nation’s first Second Gentleman. Harris met her husband at a blind date that a mutual friend set up. Harris has written two non-fiction books and one children’s book. The most recent is The Truths We Hold An American Journey.
Emhoff was then working as an entertainment lawyer. The couple married in August 2014 in California. As of 2019, the pair has a net worth of $5.8 Million. They temporarily resided at Blair House after the official residence of the Vice president Number One Observatory Circle underwent maintenance.
