Connie Francis | Age 83
Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero is famous by the name Connie Francis and is a pop singer and actress. Since Connie grew up in an Italian Jewish neighbourhood, she became fluent in Yiddish which led her to record songs in Yiddish and Hebrew. Francis had an autobiography published in 1984, Who’s Sorry Now? She remembers that she was constantly encouraged by her father to participate in talent shows and beauty pageants.
Continuing to participate in neighbourhood festivities which was sometimes broadcast on TV, she gained attention and appeared in NBC’s StartTime Kids show. Later her song The Majesty of Love gave her success as her solo single in the music industry.
