A director, animator, and screenwriter who was born in San Francisco, California. Kirk Wise is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed American filmmakers. After making a name for himself in Hollywood as an animation supervisor on features such as The Lion King in 1994, Wise gained recognition with Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
For his excellent skills, he has always received lots of love from audiences and unanimous praise from critics. Talking about Walt Disney Feature Animation, he was also a part of The Great Mouse Detective as an associate animator before moving on to the narrative department, where he ran into Gary Trousdale, a former classmate from CalArts.
