Peggy Stewart – Age 95
Peggy is best known as an American actress from Western B movies. She was a swimming champion during high school and after moving to California with her family, she was discovered by Henry O’Neill. Henry recommended Peggy to Paramount Pictures for the role of the teenage daughter in 1937s Wells Fargo, and her career took off. In 1944, after doing Western B films for two decades, Peggy’s career slowed down significantly. By the ‘70s, Peggy was semi-retired and Studio City, in California, seems to have become her retirement home. She appeared occasionally on TV and film but attended Western film festivals regularly, and her most recent role was on Getting On, in 2014.
