Quand elle participait à l’émission American Idol, Lauren Alaina a découvert qu’un blogueur l’avait surnommée Miss Piggy et qu’elle lui mettait un nez et des oreilles de cochon dans chaque poste. Alaina a terminé deuxième de «American Idol» à Scotty McCreery en 2011. Après le spectacle, elle a participé à la tournée American Idol où elle ne mangeait que 500 calories par jour et prenait des injections dans ses jambes afin de perdre du poids. Suivant aujourd’hui le plan Atkins 40, elle a embauché un chef et un formateur et se consacre à se mettre en forme de manière saine.
