Xavier Niel est le fondateur du groupe « Iliad ». Il est aussi le copropriétaire de « Le Monde ». Il est à la tête de nombreux projets. Depuis 2010, Xaviel Niel a commencé à investir dans les start-ups axés dans l’informatique. Il touche également au secteur de l’immobilier. Parmi ses derniers exploits, il y a l’achat du groupe « Nice-Matin » en 2020 ainsi que l’achat d’une propriété au Cap Ferret d’une valeur de 17 millions d’euros en 2021. Xavier Niel possède une maison sur l’île de Ré. Il l’a obtenu pour une somme d’environ 10 millions d’euros.
