Was hinter Chers Ruhestand wirklich steckt, und warum ihre Hits trotzdem bleiben
Als Sängerin ist Cher längst ein Weltstar. Selbst wenn sie jetzt eher auf Abstand zur großen Bühne geht, ist ihr Name überall. Ihre Songs werden weiter gespielt, gecovert, gestreamt und auf Partys gefeiert, als wären sie gestern erschienen. Offiziell ist nicht alles bestätigt, aber es scheint, als hätten gesundheitliche Themen nach mehr als fünf Jahrzehnten Karriere den Takt vorgegeben. Nach so einem Marathon ist es legitim, einfach mal Schluss zu machen, ohne sich zu erklären.
Viele vermissen ihre glänzenden, schrillen Auftritte vor Millionen, denn sie konnte mit Outfit und einer Hook ganze Hallen zum Beben bringen. Mal war es pure Show, mal ein Mode-Schock, aber nie langweilig. Heute sieht man sie auch entspannt und ungeschminkt, was bodenständig rüberkommt. Statt Dauer-Spotlight genießt sie offenbar den Ruhestand bewusst, ohne den Druck, ständig noch einen draufzusetzen. Und genau das gönnt man ihr auch.
