Dr. med. Susanne Holst wollte eigentlich Frauenärztin werden. Aber dann kam alles ganz anders: Mittlerweile moderiert sie die ARD-Tagesschau am Nachmittag. Obwohl die Hamburgerin das Nachrichtenfieber gepackt hat, schlägt ihr Herz nach wie vor für medizinische Themen. Sie ist seit 2011 das Gesicht des „ARD-Ratgeber Gesundheit“ und moderiert Sondersendungen rund um die Medizin. Als Autorin und Kolumnistin schreibt Holst Sachbücher und populärwissenschaftliche Artikel zu Medizinthemen. Susanne Holst engagiert sich ehrenamtlich als Botschafterin der Stiftung Kindergesundheit. Sie moderiert am Dienstagnachmittag zwischen 12 und 17 Uhr fünf Ausgaben. Damit bekommt sie monatlich rund 1179,30 Euro.
