Aufgrund ihrer Arbeit als Bundeskanzlerin seit 2005 ist Angela Merkel weltweit bekannt. Man schätzt ihr jährliches Gehalt derzeit auf über 420.000€. Durch die Abgeordnetenentschädigung und sonstigen Zuschlägen kann die Politikerin damit auf ein monatliches Gehalt von etwa 35.000 € zählen. Das ist eine beachtliche Summe. Der Weg an die Spitze war für sie sehr hart und lang. Merkel hat aber 2021 nicht mehr vor, zur nächsten Wahl anzutreten. Die Spitzenpolitikerin hat bereits ein geschätztes Gesamtvermögen von etwa 10 Millionen Euro angehäuft. Auch fern der Politik hat sie somit ihre Zukunft bestens abgesichert.
