Er konnte aber auch nach seiner Profikarriere sein Vermögen durch profitable Nebeneinkünfte aufstocken: Mehmet Scholl ist Markenbotschafter für die bekannte Automarke Dacia und arbeitete jahrelang als TV-Experte für die ARD bei zahlreichen Fußballereignissen wie Länderspielen und die WM 2014 in Brasilien. Sein Gehalt als Sportkommentator und Moderator belief sich nach Informationen auf 250.000 Euro pro Jahr. Darüber hinaus ist er Gründer und Geschäftsführer des Münchner Plattenlabels Millaphon Records. All diese Nebenverdienste führen zu einem geschätzten Vermögen von rund 38 Millionen Euro.
