Shakuntala Banerjee, born in 1973, is a journalist and reporter for German television. She grew up as the daughter of a German father and an Indian father in Rheydt. During her studies she was able to gain her first journalistic experience as a student assistant at WDR and RTL. In 2003 she first came to ZDF as a freelancer, later she worked as a reporter in the Mainz ZDF editorial team for the magazine “Turntable Germany”.
