Für Frida war es nicht einfach, den Mann fürs Leben zu finden. Schon im Alter von nur 17 Jahren heiratete sie zum ersten Mal, jedoch scheiterte die Ehe sehr bald. Die nächste große Liebe fand Anni-Frid Lyngstad in ihrem Band-Kollegen Benny Andersson, aber auch diese Beziehung ging schließlich in die Brüche. Schließlich heiratete sie im Jahr 1992 Heinrich Ruzzo Prinz Reuß von Plauen, welcher im Jahr 1999 an Krebs starb. Es war eine schwere Zeit. Die 75-Jährige kann aber mittlerweile wieder lachen. Sie ist seit 2008 mit Henry Smith, 5th Viscount Hambleden zusammen. Die beiden leben gemeinsam sehr zurückgezogen in der Schweiz und genießen ihr Privatleben.
