Der Moderator für einige, erfolgreiche Quizshows, Jörg Pilawa, ist meistens auf den öffentlichen Rundfunksendern ARD und ZDF zu sehen. Irina Pilawa, ihr Mädchenname lautet Opaschowski, ist schon seit 1999 mit dem Moderator zusammen. Das Ja-Wort gaben sie sich erst in 2006 im Kongo, nachdem das Paar schon 7 Jahre lang zusammen war. Beide bemühen sich, ihr gemeinsames Leben so privat wie möglich zu halten. Doch das ein oder andere Detail ist im Laufe der Jahre trotzdem an die Öffentlichkeit gelangt. Die drei gemeinsamen Kinder heißen Nova, Emmy und Juri. Außerdem hat Jörg einen Sohn namens Finn, aus seiner ersten Ehe.
