Was wurde eigentlich aus Susan Dey, Jahrgang 1952, und warum reden alle über ihr Comeback, das nie kam?
Durch ihre Rolle in The Partridge Family wurde Susan in Hollywood praktisch über Nacht zum gefragten Gesicht. Bevor sie jedoch vor der Kamera richtig loslegte, arbeitete sie erst einmal als Model, ein klassischer Einstieg für viele Stars dieser Zeit. Danach ging es Schlag auf Schlag: Sie landete Rollen in großen Film- und TV-Produktionen und tauchte unter anderem in Bed of Lies, Hawaii Five-O, S.W.A.T. und natürlich L.A. Law auf. Genau diese Mischung aus Charme und Ernsthaftigkeit machte sie so vielseitig einsetzbar.
Für L.A. Law gab es sogar einen Golden Globe, also nicht einfach nur „bekannt“, sondern auch richtig ausgezeichnet. 2004 zog sie sich dann weitgehend aus Hollywood zurück und zeigt sich seitdem nur noch selten. Und ja, man kann es kaum anders sagen: Susan wirkt bis heute unglaublich frisch, als hätte sie den ganzen Trubel einfach irgendwann elegant abgehakt und ihr eigenes Tempo gewählt.
