Was wurde eigentlich aus Jill St. John, und was hat ein Kochbuch damit zu tun?
Ihr größter Kino-Moment kam 1971: In Diamonds Are Forever spielte sie Tiffany Case und war damit praktisch der Blickfang des Films. Die Rolle machte sie endgültig zum Star, und klar, ihre Ausstrahlung tat den Rest. Schon 1972 zog sie sich aus Hollywood zurück und tauschte Set-Trubel gegen ihre große Leidenschaft: Kochen. Statt rotem Teppich gab es bei ihr lieber Schneidebrett und Pfanne.
Ganz weg war sie damit aber nicht. Sie tauchte in etlichen Kochshows auf, teilte Rezepte und Tipps. 1987 legte sie sogar ein eigenes Buch nach: The Jill St. John Cookbook. Ihre Laufbahn zog sich über fünf Jahrzehnte, angefangen mit ihrem Debüt 1949. Heute ist sie im Ruhestand, wirkt aber weiterhin fit. Vielleicht liegt es an ihren Kochkünsten oder daran, dass sie früh wusste, was sie glücklich macht.
