2017 sagte der englische Comedian seine Tour kurzfristig ab, und natürlich ging das sofort durch die Presse. Offiziell hieß es: persönliche Gründe, mehr Details gab es damals nicht. Danach wurde es eine Weile ruhig um ihn, bis er vor nicht allzu langer Zeit wieder öffentlich auftauchte. Und genau da rieben sich viele erst mal die Augen, weil er plötzlich ganz anders aussah als früher. Nicht irgendwie leicht verändert, sondern wirklich sichtbar.
In der Zwischenzeit hatte er nämlich an seiner Gesundheit geschraubt und kam deutlich schlanker zurück. Rund 20 Kilo soll er mit einer Mischung aus Sport und Diät verloren haben. Für Fans war das gleich doppelt schön: Erstens wirkte er fitter und zufriedener, und zweitens fühlte sich der Auftritt wie ein echtes Lebenszeichen an. Nach der abgesagten Tour hatten viele ihn vermisst, jetzt wächst die Hoffnung auf ein richtiges Comeback wieder.
