Für Jones war die Gewichtsabnahme ein Wendepunkt. Die TV-Persönlichkeit kämpfte lange mit ihrem Gewicht und probierte vieles, das nicht funktionierte. Sie entschied sich für eine Magenmanschetten-Operation, was ihr zum Erfolg verhalf. Insgesamt verlor sie rund 70 Kilo. Als herauskam, was wirklich geschehen war, kippte die Stimmung schnell, und sie verlor ihren Job bei The View. Später machte sie eine Therapie und lernte, sich selbst anzunehmen. Heute wirkt sie gefestigter, hat ihr Leben neu geordnet, ist mit Anwalt Ricardo Lugo verheiratet und scheint Frieden gefunden zu haben.
