Was steckt hinter Martha Stewarts erstaunlichem Comeback, und was hat es mit dem Aktien-Urteil auf sich?
Martha Stewart ist so eine Person, die man gefühlt überall schon mal gesehen hat. TV-Star, knallharte Geschäftsfrau, Autorin, und früher natürlich das Gesicht ihrer eigenen Show Martha Stewart Living. Mit Büchern, Sendungen und ihrem ganzen Lifestyle-Imperium hat sie richtig abgeräumt und Millionen verdient. Dann kam 2004 der große Knall: Wegen einer Sache rund um Aktien wurde sie verurteilt, und plötzlich stand sie nicht mehr für perfekte Tischdeko, sondern für einen ziemlich öffentlichen Absturz. Das war ohne Frage ihr Tiefpunkt.
Aber statt sich zu verkriechen, hat sie sich neu sortiert und ein Comeback hingelegt, das man ihr erstmal nachmachen muss. Heute ist die bald 80-Jährige als Preisrichterin beim Kochwettbewerb Chopped zu sehen und wirkt dabei erstaunlich entspannt. Finanziell muss sie sich jedenfalls keine Sorgen machen, sie hat mehr als genug, um sich einen richtig angenehmen Lebensabend zu gönnen, mit allem Drum und Dran.
