Kim Basinger war in den 80ern praktisch überall, und Hollywood kam an ihr kaum vorbei. Bevor sie auf der großen Leinwand landete, arbeitete sie in New York als Model und sammelte dort das Selbstbewusstsein, das später auch vor der Kamera so mühelos wirkte. Ihr erster richtig großer Filmauftritt: als Bond-Girl im 007-Abenteuer Never Say Never Again. Damit war klar, dass sie nicht nur ein Gesicht für Fotos ist, sondern auch Präsenz für Kino hat.
Richtig ikonisch wurde sie dann mit 9,5 Weeks, in dem sie Elizabeth McGraw spielte und endgültig zum Superstar aufstieg. Und das Spannende: Auch viele Jahre später tauchte sie wieder in großen Produktionen auf, unter anderem in Fifty Shades Darker und Fifty Shades Freed. Klar, sie steuert inzwischen auf die 70 zu, aber ihr Look und ihre Ausstrahlung wirken immer noch erstaunlich frisch. Manche Stars werden älter, andere werden einfach zeitlos.
