Gefühlt taucht auf solchen Listen jedes zweite Mal ein Bond Girl auf, und ja, auch hier ist wieder eins dabei. Aber Auger hatte mehr drauf, als nur an der Seite von 007 gut auszusehen. Richtig ins Rampenlicht kam sie mit ihrer Rolle in Thunderball, und das war für viele der Moment, in dem sie hängen geblieben sind. Schon davor hatte sie einen Lauf: Sie gewann Miss World Frankreich und landete beim Miss World Wettbewerb 1958 auf Platz zwei. Mit 78 sieht man bei ihr langsam, dass die Zeit nicht stehen bleibt, aber das wirkt eher menschlich als traurig.
Und ehrlich, sie ist noch immer ein echter Hingucker. Diese hellen Augen, dazu dieses elegante Auftreten, das nie angestrengt wirkt. Mal ist es ein Blick, mal eine Haltung, und plötzlich versteht man wieder, warum sie damals so viele Leute umgehauen hat. Statt sich hinter alten Bildern zu verstecken, trägt sie ihr Alter einfach mit, ruhig, stilvoll, ohne großes Theater. Genau das macht sie so charmant. Man kann sich dabei ertappen, wie man sie sofort wieder sympathisch findet, und ja, ein kleines bisschen verliebt ist auch drin.
