Spätestens seit seinen Auftritten in Quentin Tarantinos Filmen ist klar: Hier steht einer, der jede Szene sofort an sich zieht. Christoph Waltz, gebürtig aus Österreich, hat sich längst vom europäischen Charakterdarsteller zum festen Hollywood-Liebling hochgespielt. Offiziell bestätigt durch zwei Oscars für seine Leistungen in den Tarantino-Produktionen, taucht er seitdem in großen Projekten auf, bleibt aber unaufgeregt. Privat lief nicht immer alles wie im Film. Seine erste Ehe hielt 17 Jahre, aus dieser Beziehung stammen drei Kinder. Nach der Scheidung kreuzte eine deutsche Kostümbildnerin seinen Weg: Holste. Mit ihr ist er inzwischen seit sieben Jahren zusammen. Gemeinsam haben sie eine Tochter und leben zwischen Los Angeles und Wien. Ihr Alltag pendelt zwischen Filmsets, Familienleben und einem internationalen Rhythmus. Klingt nach einer Mischung, die für beide gut funktioniert.
