Kaiser ist heute eine feste Größe im Schlager, begann aber in den 70ern bodenständig. Bevor er große Hallen füllte, arbeitete er in einem Autohaus und schraubte an Wagen herum. Diese Zeit hat Spuren hinterlassen, denn Autos sind mehr als Fortbewegungsmittel für ihn. Sie sind ein echtes Thema, und er gehört immer noch zur Autowelt, als wäre das nie verschwunden.
Mit dem Erfolg kamen Hits und die Möglichkeit, sich beim Fuhrpark etwas zu gönnen. In seiner Garage steht ein wuchtiger Mercedes G, ein SUV, dessen Präsenz Eindruck macht, und ein sportlicher VW Golf mit 170 PS für den Alltag. Der G kostet rund 200.000 Euro, aber für den „Santa Maria“-Star mit 90 Millionen verkauften Platten ist das eher eine Ansage als ein Problem. Seine Autos sind ein ziemlich ehrliches Hobby.
