Die markante Stimme eroberte Ende der 70er die deutschen Charts, als hätte jemand den Verstärker aufgedreht. Alles begann 1969, als Michael Kunze ihn entdeckte und den Startschuss für seine steile Karriere gab. Der Durchbruch kam 1970 mit der Single “Du”, die ihn schlagartig in die erste Liga katapultierte. Seitdem verkörpert er Rock mit Kante und Balladen mit Herz.
Seine Projekte wie das Rockmusical “Tabaluga” zeigen, dass er nicht nur Songs abliefert, sondern ganze Welten baut. Auch abseits der Bühne ist sein Stil prägnant: Bei einem lokalen Autohaus-Auftritt gab es für ihn einen VW Golf R 4Motion mit 310 PS. Ein kompakter Sportler, schnell, lautstark und rebellisch, was perfekt zu einem Rocker wie ihm passt.
