Katzenberger hat das deutsche Fernsehen nicht langsam erobert, sie ist eher reingeplatzt. Der große Durchbruch kam mit Auf und davon – Mein Auslandstagebuch, wo ihre direkte Art sofort hängen blieb. Die Leute mochten, dass sie nichts schönredet und trotzdem witzig bleibt. Kurz darauf folgte Daniela Katzenberger – natürlich blond. Seitdem gehört die Katze dazu, wie ein Running Gag, der nie alt wird, nur eben in echt und mit Kamera.
Aber sie hat sich nie nur auf TV verlassen. Nebenbei lief auch ein Café auf Mallorca, ganz bodenständig, nur mit mehr Blitzlicht. Heute steht das Familienleben im Vordergrund. Für den Alltag mit Ehemann Lucas Cordalis und der Tochter brauchte die Unternehmerin etwas Praktisches, das trotzdem nach Promi aussieht. Ihre Wahl fiel auf einen BMW X1, Preis: 44.600 Euro. Ein Auto, das genug Platz für Alltag und Termine hat, ohne gleich nach Luxus-Kutsche zu schreien.
