Marcus von Anhalt ist in Deutschland eine wandelnde Schlagzeile. Den Adelstitel bekam er durch eine ungewöhnliche Adoption, verbunden mit Frédéric von Anhalt und Zsa Zsa Gabor. Er liefert ständig Stoff für Klatschspalten, Reality-TV und Social Media, da er seinen Luxus öffentlich auslebt. Besonders schwärmt er von seiner Autosammlung, die aus echten Prestigeobjekten besteht.
Das Highlight ist ein Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT, ein extrem seltenes Stück, von dem weltweit nur 25 existieren. Der Preis liegt bei rund 940.000 Euro. Seine Liebe zu Luxuskarossen wurde zum Problem, als er versuchte, die Wagen als Firmenautos steuerlich geltend zu machen. Das Landgericht machte dem einen Strich durch die Rechnung, und es kam zum Vorwurf der Steuerhinterziehung. Fazit: Auch ein Adelstitel schützt nicht vor den Regeln des Finanzamts.
