Kein Symbol der Liebe?
„Was soll das bedeuten?“, fragte ich, während sich Unruhe weiter in mir ausbreitete. Fast trotzig schob ich den Ring zurück an meinen Finger, doch in dem Moment, in dem ich ihn spürte, war er nicht mehr derselbe. Die vertraute Wärme fehlte. Stattdessen lag etwas Schweres auf ihm, etwas Unausgesprochenes. Der Ring, eigentlich ein Zeichen ewiger Liebe, fühlte sich plötzlich fremd an.
Die Worte des Juweliers hallten in meinem Kopf nach und weckten ein ungutes Bauchgefühl, das ich nicht abschütteln konnte. Vier Jahrzehnte lang hatte ich ihn ohne einen einzigen Zweifel getragen. Doch nun kam eine beunruhigende Frage in mir auf: Hat dieser Ring eine Geschichte, die ich nicht kenne?
