Laurence Boccolini commence sa carrière sur les ondes d’Europe 1 en 1982, avant de s’imposer à la télévision avec Le Maillon Faible lancé sur TF1 en 2001. Son style tranchant et son humour sec marquent durablement les téléspectateurs et propulsent l’émission parmi les grands rendez-vous de la décennie. Elle poursuit ensuite avec Money Drop en 2011, gagnant alors un salaire estimé aux alentours de 20 000 euros par prime.
Elle anime aussi Le Grand Concours des animateurs, consolidant son statut d’animatrice incontournable. En 2020, elle rejoint France 2 pour présenter Mot de passe puis prend les rênes du journal télévisé de 13 heures en 2021.
