Laurent Delahousse fait ses premières armes sur RTL dans les années 90 avant de rejoindre M6, où il présente De quoi je me mêle et signe plusieurs reportages pour Zone Interdite. En 2001, il intègre LCI puis arrive sur France 2 en 2006, qui deviendra sa chaîne de référence. Dès 2007, il assure la présentation des journaux du week-end, se faisant apprécier pour son ton moderne et leurs interviews incisives.
Delahousse développe ensuite des formats magazines comme 13h15 le dimanche et 20h30 le dimanche, où il mêle portraits et enquêtes approfondies. Pendant ses années de prime sur France 2, son salaire avoisinait les 15 000 euros par mois. Toujours en poste sur la chaîne, cette rémunération semble aussi se maintenir.
