EDOARDO PONTI E SOFIA LOREN
Edoardo Ponti, regista e produttore italiano nato a Roma nel 1973, è figlio di due icone del cinema: l’indimenticabile Sofia Loren e il produttore Carlo Ponti. Formatosi alla University of Southern California, ha diretto pellicole come “Between Strangers” (2002) e il pluripremiato “La vita davanti a sé” (2020), in cui ha diretto la madre in un toccante ruolo da protagonista. Sua madre Sofia Loren, nata nel 1934, è una leggenda vivente del cinema mondiale – unica attrice italiana ad aver vinto due Oscar, memorabile in capolavori come “La ciociara” e “Matrimonio all’italiana”. Il loro rapporto va oltre quello familiare: è un sodalizio artistico che si è concretizzato in diverse collaborazioni. Oggi Edoardo, sposato con la produttrice Sasha Alexander, porta avanti con talento l’eredità cinematografica di famiglia, dimostrando che la grande arte può essere un affare di famiglia.
