Maxine Waters is the Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee. She’s a strong woman in politics who has seen her fair share of controversies. In 2020, her rival Joe Collins took her on about her lavish mansion outside her district. In 2021, Yahoo! News reported that Waters came under criticism for allegedly using campaign funds to pay her daughter.
Maxine lives in a luxurious $6 million home while her Los Angeles district is one of the poorest in the state’s much “sunnier” 37th Congressional District. Waters was one of the loudest Democrats who fiercely opposed the Donald Trump administration.
