A chance meeting in 1988 at a restaurant opening in Irvine, California, led to a lasting bond between Lesly Brown, a 23-year-old model and aspiring actress, and Pat Sajak, the affable host of “Wheel of Fortune.” Their connection deepened after Lesly appeared on “The Dating Show,” sparking feelings that Pat hadn’t anticipated. By 1989, they were married, and their family grew with the birth of their two children.
Maggie has followed in her father’s footsteps, taking on roles such as the show’s social correspondent and even filling in as host. In June 2024, as Pat concluded his legendary 41-season tenure on “Wheel of Fortune,” Lesly was by his side.
