Gene Hackman’s time in Hollywood spans around six decades with two Academy Awards, two BAFTAs, four Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He received widespread recognition for his role as Jimmy ‘Popeye’ Doyle in the action-thriller film The French Connection. In the year 2004, he made it public that his career in acting was over. Hackman is now busy publishing his novels. He has written historical fiction novels by teaming up with archaeologist Daniel Lenihan. However, he released his first solo work titled Payback at Morning Peak in 2011. This was followed by a thriller novel titled Pursuit.
