Al Green is famous for his song ‘Let’s Stay Together.’ In the 1970s, when Green was at the peak of his career, he quit music to become a Reverend. After an incident in which his girlfriend died, he became a Baptist minister and purchased Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Memphis, Tennessee, where he still preaches. Simultaneously, he shifted his focus to gospel music. To strike a balance between his religious devotion and music career, he switched to spiritual music.
