Mara Wilson became popular with her portrayal of Natalie Hillard’s role in the comedy-drama film Mrs. Doubtfire. Some of her other prominent roles include Susan Walker in Miracle on 34th Street, Lily Stone in Thomas and the Magic Railroad, among others. In the year 2000, Wilson publicly announced that she was quitting acting to pursue her career in writing. She has worked for Publicolor, which is an NGO established in New York City. In September 2016, Wilson published her book titled Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame. She has been helping teenagers dealing with mental illness.
