Australian actor Cate Blanchett sure has a taste for the finer things in life, her real estates included. She is an elegant lady, thus she wanted an elegant house. She found what she was looking for in her East Sussex-located ‘Highwell House,’ an old castle-like mansion. She probably refinanced herself after selling her house in Sydney, and she moved to Britain with her husband Andrew Upton. It cost her $6.25 million and we can understand why, especially when we consider the house’s seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and numerous other features – all surrounded by formal gardens. Hopefully, she has a good prenup lawyer in case she breaks up with Upton (though we hope not).
