Bestselling author and senior pastor of Lakewood Church Joel Osteen is known for both his gleaming smile and a $10.5 home 17,000-square-foot stone mansion in River Oaks. The Osteen family moved from a $2.9 million house in Tanglewood to this six bedroom mansion in 2010. It comes complete with six bathrooms, three elevators and five fireplaces and a one-bedroom guest house along with a pool house. A home this luxurious costs at least $260,000 in property taxes in the year of its purchase, and thousands of dollars in maintenance – but it certainly doesn’t seem like the millionaire pastor is short in cash, as he is estimated to be worth at least $40 million.
