When she was young, Delta Burke was recognized for her charms. She had participated in many pageants and starred in series like Designing Women. While the show was still airing, Delta started putting on some excess weight. Soon enough, her collaboration with the series was terminated and she ended up suing them, asking for $55K per episode claiming that she was fired due to her weight. She went on to start her own plus-size clothing campaign, Delta Burke Design. Delta was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, but she has since lost 65 pounds, after seeking a specialist’s help. In 2019, she appeared in an episode of Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings.
