Sophia Loren behoort tot de allergrootste vrouwelijke denkbeelden uit de geschiedenis. Zij was vele jaren getrouwd met Carlo Ponti Sr. tot aan zijn dood in 2007. Zij kregen samen twee kinderen, Carlo Ponti Jr. en Eduardo Ponti. De grootste erfenis die Eduardo kreeg, was het talent om net als zijn vader achter de camera te kunnen staan. Hij studeerde Schone Kunsten aan de Universiteit van Zuid-Californië. Daarna begon hij aan zijn carrière. Tegenwoordig is hij vooral bekend van Between Strangers, waarin ook zijn moeder voorkomt, en van zijn korte film Liv. Hij is met de actrice Sasha Alexander gehuwd en zij zijn samen papa en mama van twee bengels.
