El peso siempre fue una lucha para Chumlee y llegó al punto de que pesaba más de 135 kilos. Todos sus esfuerzos resultaron en vano, ya que no pudo mantener su peso a raya. Cuando se sometió a la cirugía de cinturón gástrico, pesaba alrededor de 102 kilos, luego de perder un peso sustancial haciendo ejercicio y comiendo de manera saludable. La cirugía, lo ayudó a perder 34 kilos adicionales y poder mostrar un magnífico cambio en su cuerpo.
El actor de Pawn Stars logró adelgazar con éxito, con la cirugía, por sugerencia de un colega. Chumlee hace ejercicio seis días a la semana y evita las carnes rojas para mantenerse en forma.
